Why become a Referee?

Referees make sure the game is fair, fun & safe. By refereeing you are doing a wonderful service to the local sporting community!
CHALLENGE
Life is full of challenges and being a referee is a perfect way to learn how to meet them head-on and know that you can handle them!
MONEY
Our referees get paid – You can work a few hours & make some pretty good money. As you improve and work higher level games, the money improves. Not a bad part-time job!
KNOWLEDGE
With an increased knowledge of the Rules, you are a better referee, a better player, a better coach and a better fan!
FRIENDSHIP
Becoming a basketball referee is a great way to meet friends that have similar interests!
TRAVEL
Refereeing provides opportunities to travel to different competitions and tournaments around the region, state and nation (and even overseas if you work hard enough!)
