Mackay Basketball Newsletter #1 | July 22, 2022

Hello Mackay Basketball Members and families.

We hope you all had a great break. With fixtures commencing this week we thought it would be a good time to talk about a few things that can help our games run smoothly and help all our players, coaches and supporters enjoy their experience.

FIXTURES

Sub Ups – As per the MBI Bylaws:

8.2 – A junior player may play more than one (1) game on a ‘competition round’ providing it is a higher division and/or age group and with the same club. Higher age group must be only one age group above the natural age.

8.3 – Players can sub up to a higher division and or age group to multiple teams within their registered club providing that from the third (3rd) sub up into any one team, it is deemed to be a permanent sub up to that team and no further additional team sub ups will be allowed in that particular division.

Getting games started on time With fixtures commencing this week: coaches, club officials, referees and players please help MBI staff and game controllers to get games started at their scheduled times.

No players from teams not playing are to enter the playing surface until the previous Game has finished. Coaches, club officials and players please do not enter the playing surface if it is not your game. For example, do not go onto the court to take shots during timeouts or halftime of another team’s game.

JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAMS

Changes to rep training days/times Starting 10/07/2022 all rep team practice will be on held on Wednesday and Sunday.

Congrats to all our outstanding up and coming athletes and a special thanks to all the coaches, assistant coaches, managers, and parents.

Special thanks to all the young hoopers that came along to learn and get better, as well as a big thank you to all the coaches that helped and the parents for making it possible for the kids to get involved.
