The Mackay Meteors and Meteorettes will begin their respective Central Queensland Cup campaigns in hostile territory this weekend. Longtime rivals Rockhampton will host the two Mackay teams on Saturday night in the opening round of the inaugural CQ Cup competition.
It’s been over a year since the McDonald’s Meteors and Global Product Search Meteorettes were on court for a senior representative basketball game, but all that changes this Saturday night when both Mackay teams face off against rivals Rockhampton in the ConocoPhillips CQ Cup season opener.
