Pat (Nimmo) Leivesley’s 28-year player career commenced in 1958 when the inaugural Mackay women’s basketball competition was launched, captaining her team to win the Mackay 1958 summer premiership.
Mackay will host the Under 20 Australian Junior and Ivor Burge Basketball Championships for the first time in both 2021 and 2022, as part of a two-year agreement between Basketball Australia (BA), Tourism and Events Queensland and Mackay Regional Council.
