Refund Policy

Registering to play denotes an ongoing commitment for the season and is relied upon by the club to carry out significant administration and team selection processes. Player withdrawals after registration are disruptive to team selection/coaches and create considerable work for co-ordinators. Fill ins from younger age teams are often required causing additional work and stress for team managers and administrators.

Mackay Basketball will not provide any refund of registration fees once a player has taken the court in any competition game.

For the avoidance of doubt, refunds are not given for:

1. Dislike of the team into which the player has been selected
2. Dislike of the allocated coach
3. Unavailability to train at the allocated time/day
4. Dislike of the grade the team is playing in
5. Dislike of the low team number designated
6. Other sport/social commitments
7. Change of mind by players/parents
8. Parent/coach given lower ranked team than expected
9. Preferences not being met eg: not playing with friends

A full or part refund may be offered to players under the following circumstances:

1. Injury or other medical condition in which all or part of the season is missed. Refund will only be offered upon production of a medical certificate which state the period the player was unable to participate in physical activity
2. Extenuating circumstances which must be provided in writing to Mackay Basketball for consideration. These will be considered on a case by case basis only.
