Mackay Basketball Newsletter #2 | August 9, 2022

Hello Mackay Basketball Members and families.

FIXTURES

It has been great to see everyone back at Basketball and playing domestic comp. Here are few things that can help fixtures run smoothly and make everyone game day experience more enjoyable.

* Coaches, managers, club officials and players please get your teams ready before the end of the game preceding yours.

* Coaches, managers, club officials and players please make sure when the game proceeding yours is over that you have your team dressed in their uniforms and ready to go.

* Coaches, managers, club officials and parents please make sure that you have a score table person from your team ready to go. This will allow the games to get started on time.

* Players if you are not participating in the game that is being played please do not enter the playing surface (court) during breaks or timeouts.

*Coaches, managers and club officials please have your team list ready so you can enter it into the tablet. This will help get games started on time.

Please Remember That late starts to games will cost the offending team two points for every minute the clock is running before the game starts. This rule will be enforced by the game officials.

TEAM TRAINING

The MBI courts are extremely busy all the time and as we all know practice time is valuable. Teams book their practice times in advance and should be able to train without interruption from players that are not part of the training group. If it is not your assigned court and practice time, PLEASE DO NOT enter the playing surface (court). When you are not part of the team that is training, and you run on the court to shoot or play etc. you negatively impact the group that has paid to be out there. I would ask that club officials, coaches, managers, parents, and players help to keep the playing area clear from anyone that should not be there.
